What I Do:
I make home decorating pieces from wood by hand. My pieces have various styles known as rustic, primitive, farmhouse, country, log cabin, mountain, shabby chic, coastal and nautical. Some of my items are hanging pendant chandelier lamps, floating wood shelves and fireplace mantels. I also have a nautical rustic style coat or towel rack hook with rustic black boat dock cleats and natural hemp rope. I can also custom make pieces to your specific size and color needs.
The art of distressing wood; I start with hand picked rough sawn pine. I grind the ages to show heavy wear, use a chain saw to create sawmill marks, wire wheel to imitate deep weathered grain, chopping with an ax to add a hand hewn look if requested, a light torching of the wood which gives a patina of character and age and finally fisnishing with a light oerall sanding to smooth rough edges and mimic vinatage antique wood.
